The Hill Runner Acoomodation is based near Seron and Hijate at altitude (3,000 feet) in a very rural and peaceful place (great for stargazing),
it has perfect dusty running tracks on its doorstep
and is close to mountains as high as 11,000 feet.
It has 5 Bedrooms with en suite facilities with showers (each room as 3 single beds or a double/single)
and is a very spacious 2 storey self catering detached accommodation with all modern facilities including, gym area,
3 bathrooms, large kitchen with huge fridge freezer, washing machine, towels and fans.
It also has a briefing room and some chill out areas.
What To Expect
A Friendly atmosphere, well there is only 9 of us within a 3 mile radius!!
Its a great way to meet other runners and chat about the great sport and you might learn a little as well!
You do not have to participate in any of the activities you can do as much or as little as you want.
We will take you on a trip each day and to the local supermarket/markets. Some of the places we visit are Lake Negratin for open water swimming with the fish or just a relaxing dip in in the spring water pool or on the lake beach, Baza market, Granada and of course some high altitude running/lectures.
We stop at restaurants for dinner for paella, Spanish omelette or maybe a beer so remember to bring some euros!!
We have everything from tempo runs in the cool of the morning to evening recovery runs mainly on dusty tracks around the accommodation. Also learn about training/nutrition and helpful guidance on training plans etc. At night you can either jump on our transport for dinner at the nearest towns or relax around the accommodation.
We end our trip with a 5k race (each runner will receive a bespoke medal to take away) and or a 800 meter team relay.
Please remember the retreat is on its own in a very rural setting in a non tourist place, the nearest village is 3 miles away.

It is a popular tourist destination, as its high peaks make skiing possible in one of Europe's most southerly ski resorts, in an area along the Mediterranean Sea predominantly known for its warm temperatures and abundant sunshine. At its foothills is found the city of Granada and, a little further, Almería and Málaga.
